THE ERE 132 ECO HOME: A COLLABORATIVE INITIATIVE
The ERE 132 Eco Home project design and its construction are the result of an exemplary local collaboration and teamwork. Under the auspices of the Reford Gardens and the Green Building Cluster, the project was conceived and brought to fruition by four firms in the region specializing in architecture, engineering and the environment. 73 organizations from the private, public and institutional sectors were mobilized forming a powerful regional driving force.
In terms of alliances and mobilization, the Eco Home in the Lower Saint Lawrence constitutes a model project. Designed by a group of experts from the region, under the governance of the Green Building Cluster and with the Friends of the Reford Gardens acting as project sponsors, the ERE 132 Eco Home has come to fruition thanks to the involvement of partnerships from the public, institutionnal and private, sectors, including more than 40 manufacturers, professionals and service providers from the Lower Saint Lawrence and elsewhere in Quebec. Quite an accomplishment in terms of collaboration and participation! A heartfelt thank you to everyone!
