Tomorrow's architects at ERE 132

Eastern Quebec's greenest house – ERE132 – is living up to its title as a Centre for Excellence in Green Building. The house is being used as a living laboratory by the 24 students enrolled in the architecture technology program at the Cégep de Rimouski. It is both an inspiration and a laboratory of a built project for the students' final year competition.

This year's challenge is to design the best small house with the following theme: “Maisons petites – une réponse sensée au défi de développement durable” (Little Houses – an Intelligent Response to the Challenge of Sustainable Development). The projects developed by the students will be on view at the Musée regional de Rimouski from March 31 to April 10.

ERE132 has received several groups of students in architecture since its opening on June 4 and groups of specialists interested in green-building and the development of sustainable communities. The next visit will be on March 9 when ERE 132 will be the venue for a group from the Matapedia River Valley working on developing the Écoterritoire habité de la Matapédia, a new approach to sustainable development in their MRC.

ERE132 is available for your accommodation needs, as the perfect venue for your meetings and corporate retreats or for guided tours. For more information or to reserve : http://ere132.com/en/rent/rent-the-ere-132-eco-home.php
